Nostrification exams serve to recognize the validity of foreign secondary education in the Czech Republic based on a decision issued by the Prague City Hall (MHMP).
1. Application Submission and Exam Dates
Application Transfer: The school receives the application for nostrification exams directly from the Prague City Hall (Department of Education and Youth).
Registration: Applicants do not register or apply directly at the school.
Exam Date: The school determines the exact date within the timeframe specified by the Prague City Hall and notifies the applicant via email (or postal mail).
2. General Information and Exam Rules
Arrival: Applicants must arrive at the school 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time.
Required Documents: Before the exam begins, applicants must present a valid photo ID (passport, national ID card, or residence permit) and the original copy of the Prague City Hall decision.
Language and Interpreters:
The exam is conducted in the Czech language.
Applicants are entitled to use a certified sworn interpreter at their own arrangement and expense (the school does not provide interpreters).
The interpreter must present their official interpreter license/ID before the exam starts.
Exam Format:
Exams are held orally before an examination board.
The Mathematics exam includes a written test in addition to the oral part.
The Computer Science / ICT exam includes a practical computer-based assessment.
Retakes and Absences:
In case of failure, applicants are not entitled to a retake (re-sit).
Absence can only be excused in advance (before the exam takes place) by submitting an official document (e.g., medical certificate, police report). Excuses submitted after the exam date will not be accepted.
